PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program is recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty. Aim of this program is to develop and equip students with relevant professional knowledge, skills and techniques to enable them to apply their acquired expertise for efficient health care delivery. Specific learning objectives of this diploma are as under:
Why this Program is Needed?
- Provide information to the patients about the proposed intervention, its material risks if any and expected benefits and any reasonable alternatives.
- Provide educational information about physiotherapy and physiotherapists, injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote physical health.
- Facilitate group rehabilitation activities.
- Implement comprehensive treatment plan developed by a physiotherapist.
- Perform appropriate measurement and assessment techniques within the knowledge and limit of practice to assist the supervising physical therapist in monitoring and modifying the plan of care.
